I would love to know…..I usually burn around 500 calories when I work out. How does it measure how much calories you burn?

    They are actually very accurate. About 93-97% acurate usually.

    Its pretty straightforward to measure the amount of power you put into the machine. The innaccuracy would enter in estimating the efficiency with which the individual user’s physiology converts food energy to mechanical energy. Stride efficiency, etc. I’d be surprised if it was any better than +/- 10%.
